Help Provide Water & Supplies in Shuja’iiya Neighborhood
Colorado, United States
UPDATE FROM LOAY:
Help Loay Bring Life-Saving Water to Shuja’iyya
Loay is currently living in Shuja’iyya after being reunited with his wife during the beginning of the ceasefire in January 2025. In the months since, he has worked tirelessly to support the most vulnerable — orphans and families in dire need — through the generous donations contributed to our Chuffed campaign.
Thanks to your support, Loay has been able to purchase and distribute basic supplies from local markets, providing a vital lifeline to those left with nothing. But since the blockade began on March 2, 2025, the situation has drastically worsened. Aid has been cut off, and prices for basic necessities have skyrocketed, pushing even water — the most essential need — out of reach for many.
Now more than ever, we must come together. Loay is shifting his focus to a community-led mutual aid effort to bring water into Shuja’iyya through water trucks. This initiative is critical to prevent a total humanitarian catastrophe.
Time is not on our side. Every day without clean water is a threat to life. Your donation can directly help fill a truck with clean water and get it into the hands of those who need it most. This is grassroots, direct mutual aid — no middlemen, just neighbors helping neighbors.

From Shuja’iyya, with hope and urgency — thank you.

This campaign is created on behalf my friend Loay Taiseer. The Taiseer family is going through an incredibly challenging time, especially with the devastation caused by war. The funds from this campaign will be vital in helping him rebuild their home and provide some stability in the face of such hardship. Having a young daughter and no source of income adds even more pressure on the family.
The experience of witnessing such devastating violence, including the bombing of a truck full of displaced people in front of their eyes, adds a deep layer of emotional weight to the journey. Given everything Loay and his family have gone through, being reunited with his wife and daughter after close to a year of separation was a monumental moment for them. This journey back home, after everything that’s been lost and endured, has been both a relief and a deep, emotional challenge.
The struggle for basic resources, safety, and stability while rebuilding is overwhelming, especially with the added pressure of caring for young children. Rebuilding a home is about more than just the structure; it’s about offering them a sense of safety and stability after everything they’ve been through. Your donations will help them to achieve that.
Messgae from Loay:
Hi, I am Loay from Gaza. I am married and my wife gave birth to my first child, Talia, in the shelter schools. I wasn’t by her side. She stayed in the north and I was displaced to the south with my mother. I need your help to save my family from starvation. They are living in starvation in the north of Gaza. No food, no electricity, no water, nothing. My wife is unable to provide for my beautiful child. I need your help, my friends. Please show your humanity and donate to my family. Please help as much as you can.
Loay’s neighborhood after he returned to the North.
Loay’s beautiful home has been destoryed by the occupation. This what his view is now.
After the opening of the Netzarim Corrider, Loay was able to return to the north with his mother and brother. Once they arrived, Loay was reunited with his wife, Rana, and his baby Talia.
